I got no problem with that.

Everybody in leadership has had those people who couldn´t stay out of your house and as long as you were feeding them you were heaven sent...but the day the table was empty they were gone...and telling how evil you (organization) were.
I know a former missionary that left Brazil many years ago and the people would write this missionary, try to contact this missionary but the former missionary said to me, "Janice, If I contact the people in the end I will cause confusion. I love the people ENOUGH not to contact them"
I was young back then and thought that was strange for she had raised up a work from nothing...it in reality was her work but due to circumstances she felt to leave.
Now many years have passed and I can look back and I see seh did the right thing. She did not keep a stir and an unrest...she just gracefully walked out.
I was so young back then I really thought she ought to keep contact. After all they were her babies so to speak...she had not come in and worked in someone else´s work and taken advantage of anyone. They were the product of her labor.
Today that work still goes on...today I know if she would have kept in contact there would have been unrest until today...She was godly enough to make the right decision.
That is how I feel about people leaving any group...it is fine to leave but have enough grace to LEAVE...
In reality this person in my eyes was done wrong but the souls involved meant more to her than her personal feelings...a rare thing in the world today.
...and this is to no certain person or group...just my thoughts...

Thank you for this, Sister. Its something I was thinking of the other day. Years ago, as an evangelist I was very strict- stricter than I am now. I guess I would have been considered "conservative", if that word was used for Christians back then. Long sleeves, no facial hair (on men), long dresses (on women)... No TV... the works.
I'm more moderate now. I've got a beard and am sitting here in short sleeves. Got a TV... no... 2... and satelite TV. But I thank God for my more conservative roots. I wouldn't change a thing. It was those roots that helped to get to where I am now- more balanced.,more secure in just exactly what I believe. And... I thank God for those "conservatives" among us who hold to what they believe with a good spirit about it. They, in a sense, are my moorings, so to speak. A reminder that we are, in fact, holiness people, and deep down, people like Sis Alvear are deeply apprecaited for keeping us from straying too far from the "holiness lifestyle". Thanks for the good word, Sis Alvear.

Re: The Grace to leave and be gone...
I, for one, greatly appreciated Sis. Alvear's post...and I read it exactly as she wrote it. I thank you Sis. Alvear for being one of compassion, love, understanding, wise beyond words and well, the praises could go on and on.
My husband and I were just discussing this fact the other night. We are in the process of making big life changes, but despite it all, we have kept our mouth pretty well shut regarding these changes. If we have chosen to leave, we need to leave with grace, dignity and respect.
One should never burn a bridge...someday it may be the only way to get back to where you need to go!
But seriously, why is it so hard for us to just leave???

I think that sometimes, it is actually wrong not to speak up. But that should also be done in the right way.

I agree...learning when to say something or keep it shut is usually a tough lesson to learn!

Re: The Grace to leave and be gone...
I used to think everything someone preached against I had to obey because I wanted to go to heaven! LOL...
Finally I found out there is NO WAY to please everybody...
