Re: Thanksgiving Plans
This Saturday we are hosting a Thanksgiving style dinner for the less fortunate, I am cooking for about 200 or so people: turkey, ham, green beans, potatoes, noodles, dressing, desserts, coffee, tea...... yeah I am tired already and haven't even started cooking yet.
I am just thankful I have the ability to do it.

We will be leaving for Sand Mountain saturday morning. Thanksgiving is one of the very few reunions we have left that some of the family will make an effort to join in together. I sure miss the old fashion reunions with lots of family, food and fun.
I hope each of my AFF family has a blessed and great Thanksgiving!

In my completely unbiased opinion. Sis Esther is the ONLY person on this Forum (besides me) that has any good sense. No finer place on all of God's green earth than Sand Mountain, Alabama. I live on the North end of Sand Mountain and I gotta tell ya, I can't imagine living anywhere else. If ya ever wanna catch a glimpse of life on Sand Mountain, watch some old episodes of Green Acres. Now THAT is reality TV, Sand Mountain style!
I won't be doing Thanksgiving this year. Or Christmas. Just ain't the same. Maybe next year, but not this year.

Re: Thanksgiving Plans
Here's wishing all of the AFF family a Wonderful Thganksgiving.
Phyllis and I are having all the family that is available here for Thanksgiving dinner. I have one daughter and her family who live in Germany and two nieces in Florida and Oregon and Phyllis' son and his family is in Mo. but we will still have 15 or so around the table. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. Phyllis and I will go back to St. Louis to spend Christmas with her family. THat was the agreement when we got married 13 months ago.
