Mosiac writing is not the issue at all. The problem lies in the perception of the document and its propagation. God never inferred in
Genesis 1 that the earth was manufactured 6000 yrs. ago. We received that in Sunday school from well meaning instructors. The text does not neatly fit into this motif of universal design in 6 literal days, most of us will at least admit that to ourselves if not to our local constituencies. The document is blatanty prophetic. The term "let us make man" is just one of the smoking guns that reveals the covenant creation of man throughout time. Man is birthed into covenant through the bride and the bridegroom. The summation of Genesis1 is found in Genesis2:1-4. It describes generational birthing and multitudes (hosts) as the creation of heaven and earth, not the solar system.
Gen 2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. Gen 2:2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
Gen 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
Gen 2:4 These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,
