Bottom line: If it's God, it will happen. If it's not, it won't. I don't plan my life around prophecies. I have heard plenty of them. Some were God and some weren't. I'm more concerned about the written word than I am about a "thus saith the Lord" statement. I take pretty much everything with a grain of salt. The longer you're around the more you see and the better you get at not going after everything that says it's of God.

For the most part, I don't see the importance of knowing what's going to happen. A lot of following Christ is reactionary. Jesus was frustrated by those who followed him seeking signs. It is more important to walk by faith! Abraham went out "not knowing where he was going." So much of life is that way. There are times I would LOVE to know the future. But instead, Jesus asks me to trust Him.

I agree with you. We live in a world that is hyper reactive to fear. They gobble up horoscopes qand prophesy.

The only reason I commented was because of Amos' comment that he didn't
know IF God could pull off what was prophesied. I couldn't let that go. Dad &
Mom believed there was NOTHING GOD COULD NOT DO and growing up in their
home, as I saw THEIR confidence in HIM, I grew to BELIEVE IT TOO! HE can't lie and HE can't fail!! That's the GOD I know!!
I could give some examples, but most here wouldn't believe it anyway!
