It is not fair and/or balanced to blame all/most of the division on the U-Cons.

The Lemon, this is a very good post. Thank you for taking the time to write it.

This is me. I've offended quite a few people (hey, don't lie..I know I have..even here). I want to see it. Show me. If you can't show me, don't get upset when I don't believe you. I don't have time or energy to get this wrong. And given where I've been, where God has brought me from, I don't have room in my life to get it all wrong again.

Probably part of your problem is comparing it to the USA population. Take China for instance. There is a BIG (even though small compared to 'their' overall population) group of Spirit-filled believers. The same in India.

When you hit these countries with massive populations the numbers grow rather quickly

I have read estimates of those who consider themselves to be Charismatic/Pentecostal and the number is given as 500-600 million. Not all of these claim to have spoken in tongues. The figure is for those who believe in charismatic gifting for today and/or are affiliated with Charismatic/Pentecostal groups, organizations, fellowships, or denominations. I can't even remember where I've read that.

Second of all, yes, it is MY definition. I am entitled to it, as I have been a Pentecostal for 33 years, only to find out recently that I am now "Apostolic."

Also, use your fingers and google 'glossolalia statistics'.

The numbers aren't mine. They've been published extensively elsewhere.
Mr Anglin.

I recently found your post to be very interesting...many of them happen to be on the exact same topic...and so I responded to them. I will try and refrain in the future.

I meant no disrespect by calling you "Ed"...i guess it would have been better to refer to you as "EA" or "Mr Anglin". I was not trying to insinuate that I knew you...and so will not call you that in the future.

I am not questioning your right to create and have your own definition of "Apostolic" or "Pentecostal". I was simply trying to find out if this definition was yours...or came from some other book/person/organization.

regarding your years in Pentecost...I say "God bless and God speed"...I pray you continue for another 33 years.

as for Google and glossolalia statistics...I've found that I have to be very careful when pulling numbers from the internet...just my experience.

i only used the U.S. population to help show how big 1 billion really is.

Think of it this way....if China & Indias population were 15% tongue-talkers(and I believe that is high) and the entire population of the U.S. were tongue-takers....you still would not have 1 billion tongue-talkers.
