I know you didn't; someone else said (or implied) it. I'm just pointing out that the premise of this thread is rather shaky. I'm fine with discussing head coverings, but I don't really care for the spin off from LS wearing a hat to the Wall.

Though I disagree, I understand what LS is doing. His eschatological bend is one of hyper pretrib teaching. And that view sees Israel as the main deal once the rapture takes place, and the highlight of a future millennium. They feel all will go back to a physical kingdom and rule as the Jews wanted in Christ's day. So it is a special thing to them to be in the "holy land" amongst "holy places".

Re: Stonekings Covering
I think the whole thing just kind of shows the problems with being extreme in our application of many of the mostly cultural injunctions that we dig up in Scripture.
Like Hoovie pointed out so well, technically a Christian male should not "pray" with his head covered. But a universal enforcement of this would probably cause motorcycle riders in many states to miss the opportunity to "get right" just before they buy the farm.
Lee the Stone King was doing what all reasonable and sane people do at the Western Wall. And he appears to have been a polite and courteous guest who represented the American tourist admirably.
However, his acquiescence to the regulations at the Western Wall do show some of the shortcomings of an extreme application of 1 Corinthians 11. We would probably be doing him a favor by point this out to him, politely.

Re: Stonekings Covering
While I don't care one way or the other about The Stone King's involvement in much of anything, I must admit that the picture and the head-covering thing made me laugh.
But I'm sitting here watching a recording of Sen. Kennedy's funeral and this archbishop just prayed with a gold and red mountain on top of his head. So THAT'S where the Catholics went wrong!!! It made me think of Steve Martin in Pink Panther II at the Vatican.
Anyway, for those that were ripping the Kennedy's and particularly Edward, in that other thread, the words of his son, Ted Jr., were incredible. Hopefully it softened your heart just a tiny bit.

I don't believe anyone said that or thinks that.
