And not just... it's the whole crowd. We've had so little real teaching on the Biblical concepts and the purpose for holiness that it amazes me we have the temerity to even use the word.
For our whole subset of the larger culture, all we seem to think holiness means is being continually "offended" by something. When we run out of things to be offended about we go back and rail against the "evils of a bifurcated garment."
Seriously, some of these guys need to quit "pastoring" (i.e.: sitting around the house all day bothering their wives who want to use the computer) and honestly get engaged with their respective communities.
Someone who's comforting the sick, visiting a wounded soldier and teaching an encouraging Bible study in a nursing home doesn't have time to think up phrases like "bifurcated garment."

Re: How Did You Find AFF or Its Predecessors?
I found AFF through Google when looking for an Apostolic church to replace the church I left. I would read posts of people that sounded like they went to a conservative church and find out what state they lived in etc. LOL
Eventually this place encouraged me to actually read my Bible without man's opinion and I realized that I had become a Pharisee that enjoyed both believing that it was okay for man to add things to scripture and that it was okay to judge from outward appearances if someone was going to hell or not.
I learn a LOT from the debates on here. I would not have anyone leave. Sometimes I see from the ultra conservative side that I am wrong and sometimes they prove to me that what they believe is wrong because they can't back up what they believe with scripture, they are just like I used to be - wanting to accept man's opinion of scripture as if it were scripture.
I have no clue what the initials of the other forums represent. Should I join some of those and learn even more? LOL

A scathing, well-spoken analysis. I hate to grovel, but when you speak, even EF Hutton listens! In other words, very well said.
Off the subject, but....**new thread started, please read further comments here: Why Did They Speak In Tongues**

Perhaps it is telling of how people actually live their lives. I know some view anyone not "like them" with a great deal of skepticism, and surround themselves with Pentecostals, limiting their exposure to the "world" as much as possible.
Personally, I don't I do not have any active social networking pages. But if I did, and it reflected my actual friends, by far the majority would not be Pentecostal.

Jim Yohe, rest in peace.

Re: How Did You Find AFF or Its Predecessors?
I found about it through Newman who was also on a list called either Pentecostal Standards or Beyond Pentecostal Standards. She kept talking about FCF. I believe Roxanne Murphy was also on those (above) lists back then.

Re: How Did You Find AFF or Its Predecessors?
Several years ago a preacher came to our house and was reading FaithChildForum on our computer. He mentioned the forum and Jim Yohe. After he left I started reading at FCF occasionally. Then I learned about NewFaithChildForum. After it closed down I can't recall who told me about AFF.
