I will take the "hot" weather minus the steaming part.
Oh, and those scorpion-like things that apparently bite people on the back of the neck. You can keep those as well.

Is that electric? I see a power cord in back. When I was a kid I used to visit my aunts and uncles back east. One of them had a wood stove built into the fireplace. That thing got incredibly hot and stayed hot for a long time

It is wood-burning. The cord goes to a circulating blower.
That stove has a 12 hr burn time and is rated at about 1800 sq ft heating capacity.

Re: Weather Across the Country
Monday Jan 4th, our low in Phoenix today is to be about 46 and our high around 73. I am such a baby cause 46 is cold any more. I grew up in central Ohio and we could get pretty cold. I told my wife a while back that if we ever moved north again and I had to have a winter coat I was buying a fur because I was NOT going to feel like I was frozen all the time.

It is COLD......I love the cooler weather, but it poses a problem when out shopping. I dress for the cold weather, then burn up when I'm inside shopping.......I try the layers thing and when you have to take it all off and carry it around you might as well just wear it. My hair was dripping on my neckline yesterday - - I was miserably hot and it was 23 outside - - lol!
I sure hope it snows a little Thursday like they are predicting!
