Most......not all.......MOST illegal immigrants come over because they do want to be loyal to this country. They're not trying to "take it over" the way you accuse. They do pay taxes.......the LIE or myth that all illegal immigrants are "mooching" from this country and don't pay back in is a LIE.

You're being dishonest when you say the only way for them to come into America is illegally. I worked in Immigration for several years and there is a process for ~everyone~. They come in illegally because they think they're better than the others who are waiting. They're impatient. They're selfish. They're mostly troublemakers who fill our jails and prisons.

I've lived in two different cities in the past 3 years. Both have experienced crime rates going higher because of illegals. Both have had plummeting property values from the influx of illegals.
There was a young man from my church in another state who was stabbed and killed by an illegal. The illegal ran into the yard and stole a shovel and when this 14 year old kid ran after him, he turned around and stabbed him.
In the same state there was a kid who didn't come to church, but I'd met him. He was attacked by a gang of illegals over a bad drug deal. They cut off his hand, stabbed him multiple times and left him for dead. Miraculously he survived.
Here in my state now, crime rates soar from them. Filthy Coyotes who transport them from the border and put them in drop houses all around the Phoenix metro area. Recently an illegal stole a car, took police on a chase and ended up broadsiding another car, killing the woman driver.
President Bush and Congress need to stop groveling at the feet of el Presidente Fox or the other Mexican leaders; they need to stop the invasion by placing armed military guards at the border; they need to restrict, not loosen immigration numbers per year.
And if Illegals are so interested in having a better life . . . do what we did back in the day - start a revolution in their own country and change their own country instead of destroying the US.

I am Hispanic myself and I think all this illegal immigratin needs to STOP and STOP NOW! There is no reason why street signs in this country should be in any language other than ENGLISH!! All these illegals need to GO BACK HOME!! They are a drain on society, particularly the medical industry.
Don't slam them for trying to do their job. One of the BP Agents was jailed for almost a year. Seems he disarmed an illegal and his crime- pushed him to the floor to cuff him.

My brother in law worked borders control for 10 years, in comes down to this, it's a game of catch and release. They do there jobs, our Government won't back them up, another thing many women cross the border to give birth, once they cross and in labor along with their other children they take them all straight to the hospital so the mother can give birth, where this entitled the mother and her children to our health system and benefits, welfare, that we pay into but can't take a advantage of. My brother law has told me he not once drag a women back over who was in labor, it be inhuman, but he has drag men back over.

This is my main gripe about the whole thing. I'm tired of them "refusing" to speak English and saying that they are going to take over Texas.
And if we will be honest with ourselves....the white people anyway.....we did this same thing when we came over in the 1500's and 1600's. We took over this country and made it our own. There was no better life here when our ancestors came over. This was 'the new world' and a place to explore, but we turned it into our own country and left the indians with nothing but casinos and reservations.
I don't live in Texas or anywhere in the southwest where I know there are problems that the rest of the world doesn't see, but I don't see it as any different than what we did 500 years ago to the natives who lived here when we took over.

The Indian people see it differently. They were here for God knows how long and along comes white man to turn this place into a white man's world, which is exactly what happened.
And yes, we crafted and built a great nation, but we started 500 years ago to get what we have today.
I'm not excusing what the illegals are doing, but I wonder how many of us would be here today had the Indians had border patrol back then and refused to let us all in.
See, I live in an area where there are several Indian tribes. There is a lot of racism here directed at whites. It's strange for me because, as a white woman, I'm not used to dealing with that myself. But I can't help but understand why they feel like they do, yet at the same time, I feel they should get over it and get on with life.
I have to say there are more Indians who are wonderful people than those who aren't. Some tribes are better than others and take care of their people and use their money wisely while others have ghetto-like reservations for their people.
Yes, we have a pretty life today, but it wasn't pretty for the first 380 years after our ancestors first came here.
