Re: I was baptized today!

I agree EB, just want to be sure we don't turn a testimony thread into a debate. We all desire the very best for Nahkoe. A pursuit of God is a fabulous thing.

Articles on such subjects as "The New Birth," will be accepted, whether they teach that the new birth takes place before baptism in water and Spirit, or that the new birth consists of baptism of water and Spirit. - THE PENTECOSTAL HERALD Dec. 1945

I haven't answered the questions flat out cuz I think they're rude.

I have been through HELL to get to the place where I have healed enough from abuse from churches and pastors, have been delivered enough from demonic influence, have separated myself enough from witchcraft and dealt with residual ritual issues there, have dealt with being completely freaked out by the love of God....to even consider such a thing as being baptized. I didn't *have* to as I was baptized in a previous life. But it hit me the other day, "I can...God wants *me*, He'll let me do this, I get to do this...."

If the formula used means more to you than the pursuit of God and the miraculous change in my life, you don't even deserve an answer.

God did it for us. Out of sheer generosity he put us in right standing with himself. A pure gift. He got us out of the mess we're in and restored us to where he always wanted us to be. And he did it by means of Jesus Christ. ~Romans 3:24 from The Message

Amen. Not standing in judgement here.

While much can be debated regarding modes and methods, your Romans 3:24 signature line pretty much sums up the heart of the matter.

Sincere blessings & best regards to you and yours.
