Furthermore, no one usually says "Trinitarian vineyard" when referring to the Vineyard brothers and sisters. I found that odd.

Doesn't have to be a "one up" for the Oneness vs. Trinny game that people make-up and play in their head. I think all on AFF and most of Christendom would be shocked by the video.

Cheerfully yours,

For the record, I never said or thought anyone threw rocks at the UPC or anyone other than you at me.

It's just a discussion jeffy. Someone mentioned it probably was NOT the UPC and I mentioned this was more typically a Trinitarian thing found in the Vinyards, the Holy Laughter movements etc etc. You're trying to read things into what I said for whatever reason.

  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

First of all, it's Jeffrey.

Second of all: I threw rocks at you? I'm belligerent with you? Seriously?? Really a need to be that dramatic about it?

If I'm reading into it, then I apologize. Your remarks cocnerning "Trinitarian Vineyard people" just seemed a little out of the blue.

Anyone join me for an OBE? It's psychedelic up here dudes!
The OBE only became "psychedelic" after the Beatles had been awarded them. Previous to that, only those who had deservedly served the British Empire were inducted into the Order by Her Majesty the Queen (or "His" and "the King" as applicable).

Yeah, recall you were the one that made this about me personally when you said I was being defensive. Jeffry, that's more than once, not even with me, that in the course of a discussion you have tried to focus on another poster in a pejorative manner.

You did the exact same thing in the cult thread.

I didn't say anything disparaging about anyone. I simply pointed out this is more typically found in those groups. I also said the Holy hair stuff is more typical of Oneness. Why is that a problem pointing out certain doctrines or behaviors are more typical of certain groups than others? Does that offend you? How come when I pointed out the hair stuff is more typical of Oneness you did not jump all over that?

You continually read things into what I say or motive, like here where you imply I thought someone was throwing rocks at the UPC. You know Im one of the biggest critics of the UPC and some of the stuff that goes on in it, like the magic hair stuff.

It just seems like you were trying to start something with me on a personal level on the cult thread and now here.

Like I said, you're really good at turning things around.

The fact is, we had the same friction on the cult thread. So you can try to bundle up your evidence into a ball, but it's not working. Your condescending jabs and odd angle on the cult thread were a bit much for me. I admit I wasn't the most friendly with you, but I can't say it's been one-sided. Of course you'll deny it until you're blue in the face.

I never said you said anything "disparaging." You made a remark without referencing what it was connected to that somehow seemed to go out of the way to defend Oneness Pentecostals at the expense of those who identify themselves as Trinitarian Pentecostals when it wasn't even necessary. Vineyard is Vineyard. UPC is UPC. Not "Oneness UPC." And what are you talking about hair stuff? Your initial replies were smart alec non-descrip nebulous somethings that I did not know what you were talking about. That may explain why I didn't comment. At least you gave SO a sensible reply.

I'm not trying to start something with you. If I recall, I asked you (and your random comment): What does Trinity have to do with anything?

Your response: A crazy loco animation and something about beards and UPC which is a reference to one poster on Page 1 (Hoovie pointed that out). I replied "Huh??" You continue your charades (continuation of the crazy face) and say "Huh??" back.

Anyway... now I've wasted too much time on this non-sense. Have a good day. I'll try harder with you next time.

This is where I think you guys are reading Prax wrong. He does not usually defend Oneness Pentecostals at the expense of other Christians. Quite to the contrary, he is often critical of OPs. I guess that's why I don't see anything suspect in his comments.

Granted, I have no clue about what happened on the cult thread - didn't read it.

Well, I'm not part of the "You guys" here. I wasn't involved with the cult thread and I didn't read all of the exchange here between Jeff & Prax. I was just interjecting a little humor...plus the fact that there are a few that do say it's the trinnies who do all the crazy stuff.
