Landmarks!! What landmarks are you speaking of, DA!
If you are speaking of the landmarks of the world, that's one thing. If we
are speaking of the LANDMARK as to where we first saw the Light of the
Glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ, then that is quite another matter.
It appears that many today need to go back to where they met the Master.
At the Cross, at the Cross, where I first saw the light. And the burdens of my
heart rolled away. It was there BY FAITH, I received my sight. And now I
am happy all the day!
Go back to the point of beginning. Kneel at the Cross, Christ will meet you
there. From the Cross, travel to "Jerusalem", Wait/tarry until! Repent, until
you are again endued with Power from on high. Prayfully somewhere along
the Path, we will realize where we took a detour.
The Old Landmark
I started out to follow you
a long time ago.
We've been on the mountain tops
and through the valley low
But it seems somehow I've lost my way through the cares of it all.
But I remember a place where you spoke my name
and I heeded to your call
Lord take me back to that old landmark
where i'll make a new commitment Lord and begin a fresh start.
Help me find my direction
Place a burden in my heart.
Lord take me back to that old landmark.
I don't know how far I've drifted or how long it may have been
but there's a hunger deep inside me
to feel Your Spirit once again.
For no matter what the sacrifice
My first love to restore
You see my soul cries out to be renewed like never before.
Oh, GREAT LORD GOD, have mercy on this wayward generation,
in Jesus Name!
This is not to be offensive to anyone! If you have not lost your way,
this is not speaking to you.
