Lindsey Graham already saying filibuster was ridiculous. I'll be watching to see if the GOP throws Rand under the bus. If they do, they won't get my vote.

PO, the real test is if brennan gets appointed and what the vote tally will be. other than that the rand filibuster is just a pr stunt.

Re: GOP Candidates 2016
Voting for Rand Paul. If the GOP/RNC tries running Jeb Bush, I'll never vote for another Republican again.

Re: GOP Candidates 2016
Rand's the man!
And DM, Rand didn't filibuster Brennan's appointment tom try to prevent it. He filibustered in order to get an official response to the question "Is it constitutional to kill an American on American soil who is not involved in armed conflict against America?" the Justice Dept finally sent a letter from Eric Holder that said "no". That was the point of the filibuster which by the way had several Democrat Senators supporting him.

Re: GOP Candidates 2016
You gotta believe at this early stage that Rand Paul has emerged as the frontrunner for the 2016 GOP nomination.

I disagree that it was a PR stunt.
However, Sen. Paul's views on other issues will ENSURE that he is NEVER elected for President.

I see the demonization of the right using the same marketing strategy as the anti-smoker campaign and the anti-gun campaign. The moderate Republicans want to destroy conservatives, constitutionalists and Christians as bad as the liberals do.
It is the Constitution. You can't move to a world government until the Constitution is removed and to do that you have to destroy the political power of the "right wingers". This is the last political war and the average voter just doesn't get it.
The biggest mistake the Tea Party and Ron Paul movement made was try and be accepted by the GOP. They did not understand how much they are hated by the moderates who are nothing more than progressives in sheep’s clothing.
Rove, Romney, moderate Republicans, and the rest of them are infiltrators sent in to destroy and remake the party.
|
I totally agree with you on infiltrators being sent in.
