We see Jesus contending with demonic spirits and possession throughout the Gospels, we even see it in Acts. Not to mention the statement, "they shall cast out devils" in Mark's Great Commission.
In my opinion.... Deliverance Ministry (contending with demonic forces) is one of the primary evidences of a spiritually healthy church and/or believer.

Speaking of jerks, I wish to apologize to Cindy and maybe others, for when I used the term "broodmare" a year or two ago. I only had in view a small subculture of single women who intentionally have babies in order to collect as much government assistance as possible. I have lived right next door to one such, so I know the culture exists (or existed, it's been a while) and what their motives were. Had no idea I might offend anyone here. But it is a "jerky" term to use, and I won't do so again--I'm sorry.
BTW, Jesus went right along with calling a whole class of people "dogs" at a time when the word was considered among the worst denigrations. "It is not right to give the children's bread to DOGS." JC.

You considered me a brood mare? I do have a lot of kids, but........... I never had babies to collect government assistance. So no apology needed.

No! I used it in a post (in the context I described in above post) and you, as moderator, told me it was too offensive and to change it. Instead of changing it, I simply went away for a couple years.
