Can you show me where this concept is in the scriptures? The word "long" in the Greek does not mean uncut in 1 Corinthians 11. Please show me cause if it's in there I haven't seen it.

God bless

Doesn't matter if you think it's there because it's not.

Re: OK to cut glorious hair for medical treatment?

I voted: NO- the Bible forbids cutting women hair for any reason.

How about you?

I mean, would God grant an exception to stealing so that one can live?
Would God grant an exception to telling a lie to save your life?

If I am going to do wrong, then I am going to do wrong, but I am not going to do wrong and then try to justify it because it's an emergency situation.

That bird won't fly.

Did you vote no because you believe this or because your trying to expose a logical consistency in showing that people who truly believe that a woman's hair should be uncut should believe that no matter what the circumstances are?

OH, did you ever miss the point! I proved hair length is NOT salvational. Hair length is CULTURAL.

It was only FREE women in the Empire who could grow long hair. A female slave was recognized by her short cut hair, a bowl cut called the kepos. Slaves were abundant in the Empire -- at one time the ratio of slaves to free people was 1:1. Many slaves became Christians. If growing long hair were a requirement for salvation, how could a female slave have been saved?
