But some of my family has your sermons from that same meeting in Shelbyville and I get to get those cd's in a few weeks!!!

They will NOT have the Tabernacle done so the meeting is outdoors. I think the preachers are Edwin Young at night and Cloyce Hensley during the day?
I don't go it is our anniversary and when we lived in Tennessee my good wife had to endure the heat for that but now we don't go but generally take a vacation. We are part of the Hoosierland Camp at Paragon, In.

I must admit, I'm more of a teacher than a screamer. I attempt to refrain from manipulating a response by use of over-the-top vocal acrobatics.

I'm guided by the fact that I want people to clearly understand, welcome, and activate the Word into their lives.

I usually preach between 35-45 minutes on Sundays and teach about 1 hour for Midweek Bible study.

Oh, and I think that it's sad that people are saying that 15 minutes is plenty of time for the Word. Seriously, how many would be content with 15 minutes of worship/singing/choir? I've preached in less than 15 minutes before and God definitely moved, but there's no way I would regulate it to 15 minutes as a standard.

Anyway, JMO...

Oh wow! I didn't know that... Oh well! I might go anyhow. Have to go to Florida and that is usually a stopping point...

Acts 20:7-12

7 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.

8 And there were many lights in the upper chamber, where they were gathered together.

9 And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead.

10 And Paul went down, and fell on him, and embracing him said, Trouble not yourselves; for his life is in him.

11 When he therefore was come up again, and had broken bread, and eaten, and talked a long while, even till break of day, so he departed.

12 And they brought the young man alive, and were not a little comforted.

I enjoy it no matter how long it is, if it has substance. Repeating the same thing over and over, or putting in FILLS to keep the message long, when such things are not necessary, bores me. I want to be fed. And I am willing to sit 1.5 hours if it is GOOD MEAT!

1001 ways to preach the same old "same old" of, for example, Acts 2:38, kills me to no end.

Ask Old Paths about Elder Epley preaching, "He's still my GOD!"
