The problem is I have never once heard anybody say we need to have a balanced view on prophecy. I think you are the first one.

To me it is like the Prosperity Gospel. Sure if these teachers would keep it balanced and reign it in with balance it would probably not be that bad. But extremes in any direction will cause disappointment and pain.

I very much believe Jesus will come back, but I will not let preconceived notions cloud my judgment of what God has called me to do. What if Jesus comes back but not like you think he will?

Peter was sure Jesus would come with armies and kill all of his enemies. Hmmm... What was Jesus response to Peter?

Are we that different from Peter today. Jesus is coming back and he will kill all of my enemies and set up a physical kingdom and rule and force everybody to do what I want because I am right Because I am a Christian and and and.

Talking about balance maybe we should step back for a minute and see if our preconceived notions line up with the word of God.

All the sudden there is silence.

Nobody wants to respond to the points I made. I believed and spread the good news that billions would die and the whole world would come to an end just like a 70's disaster flick for about a decade. I went to Endtime Prophecy Conferences and met Irvin Baxter. I had Endtime magazine sent to my house and bought several DVD's.

Then I saw the light. We should be about our fathers's business. Not spreading fear. Oh I know the Darbites will be mad at this post. I use to be one of them. The next argument that they typicaly use is that I am spreading a message that people can do whatever they want and let sin abound. Which is false. I can serve God in love knowing I will be held accountable at the White Throne. Some people just can't serve God if the preacher isn't threatening them with hellfire or apocalypse.

Well said brother. Preach it! If you are attracting people to church by selling fire insurance, you arent really attracting people.

Four blood moons occurred AFTER the 1492 expulsion of Jews from Spain.

They occurred AFTER Israel became a nation.

They occurred ten months AFTER the 6 day war.

The alleged signs are implied to occur before in order to act as signs. What good is a sign after the fact?
