It is a huge stretch to go from a church having some statues or carvings of a few angels to them "focusing on angels". Absurd leap of logic.

I have a giant 8 pack of double roll paper towels in my house yet I don't find myself "focusing on paper towels".

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

What does that have to do with the huge idol in the church?

They are not worshipping it.
Therefore not an idol.

I am not trying to say that the brethren over in North Little Rock were offering worship to an angel. Yet, allow me to ask you this, what if they had a statue of the crucifixion on the platform? If the North Little Rock church had a Crucifix on their platform would you believe that would pose an issue?

Not meaning to judge NLR...what is the reason behind having the angel there? Obviously there was thought put into it. What was the reason?

Re: The Pilgrimage to Little Rock

As the church was built certain members asked for certain things and offered to pay for them ,several wrote checks and got used to writing checks in excess of 100 thousand ,they allow the city to use their facilities at no cost for conferences and I believe they cater them for them too ,their outreach to the homeless in this high crime area of Little Rock and the area is legendary ,a finer man you will not find for a pastor and the building is paid for , wouldn't surprise me to find out they are getting ready to build another bigger one ,which they have done already a couple times.ps they have no connection to Kansas, puhleeeze, get real not bitter !!

So you're saying a church member wanted an angel hanging above the platform and paid money to get it?
