I love big churches! I grew up in small works so have experienced both ends of the spectrum. After over 25 years in a couple of Mega Churches it was a strange feeling to go to a small church. Thankfully it grew and is now a large church!
Here are the things I like about large churches;
* A large growing church means the church is fulfilling the Great Commission
* A large church usually has a great music program and I enjoy good music and find it ushers me into the presence of God a lot easier than off key singing and poorly played instruments.
* A large church should have more resources to offer saints of all ages more opportunities for both spiritual growth and fellowship
* My experience with small churches is that there is a lot more of people being in other peoples business!!! Of course that was in old time Pentecost where there were plenty of those wanting to be the "holiness patrol".
I don't buy the main excuse people give for not liking larger churches, that they are impersonal. In every large church I have been a part of or associated with in any way there are a lot of opportunities to network and get plugged in with groups within the church from which friendships will develop. It just takes a little effort.
