No, my coffee has to have the good stuff in it! Heavy cream, turbinado sugar, made with Tim's coffee. Now THAT will get your morning off to a good start, along with some time in the Word!!!!! (My daily routine is Tim's coffee + Word = a great way to start your day!)
Being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes took away my ability to have the "good stuff" in my coffee. I had gotten to where I did not put sugar in it but did put fancy Hazelnut or French Vanilla creamer in it which did have a lot of sugar. Made it delicious. Now I have had to get used to plain black coffee.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

I feel for you, I really do. My husband and I have cut back on sugar, because diabetes runs strong in his family, hoping to stem the tide, and hold off on that horrible disease. His parents, diabetics, drink their coffee black too, out of necessity. I hate to see if we have to come to that day, so we are taking measures now, as they say, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. But we still enjoy a bit of turbinado sugar (sugar that is less processed, more vitamins/minerals in it) in our coffee, and the heavy cream is just awesome in the Tim's.

Tim Horton's is okay. I have one about two miles from my house.

Better than Tim Horton's is... Boston Stoker. Boston Stoker roasts their beans without burning them. A very rich and creamy coffee... even when black.

As for the move...

Not only are corporate taxes lower in Canada right now... but most corporations that do move to Canada save in that they aren't required by law to provide health insurance to employees.

Low corporate taxes... and no health insurance mandate.

The government provides the universal coverage of Canadian citizens.

I think companies would be foolish to count on lower corporate taxes. Canada is typically very liberal and I think the conservatives being in power is only a temporary blip on the radar.

All this amounts to is an address change for the company. I doubt very seriously, that even senior company officials are going to be dropping their US citizenship to move to Canada, even IF Canada would approve their move. Canada used to have a law about their legal emigrant law that if your move displaced a Canadian from a job they would turn you down in a heartbeat.

This is very, very true. Canada is a pretty liberal thinking country, and come election time, the tables could turn quickly.

Re: Burger King Becomes Canadian!

Tim Horton's has VERY LONG LINES up to its "drivethroughs" in Canada every morning lunch and supper time! It's a Canadian phenomenon. My daughter worked for them for a time. They were around for many years and just BOOMED since the 80's and have been getting bigger and bigger. This move is intended to widen the market for Tim Horton's. IT WILL BE EVERYWHERE in the USA and other places internationally.
