Sauteed in butter?
How can this be?

I don't care what you put the mushrooms in. I can't stand them.... but he has recently been into using coconut oil in lieu of butter recently.
But, hey, I am completely with you on the meat, though I'd much rather have chicken or ground turkey over beef.

Try and see if you can get unpasteurized farm butter, I always use coconut oil, but with some beef I have to use butter, and when I cook salmon in the skillet. Cooking with iron is the best, using butter or coconut oil really allows the meat to taste the way God intended. As long as you don't over cook. If you overcook the meat it ain't fit to eat, just use it repair boots and saddles. Olive oil heated will KILL YOU DEADER THAN FRIED CHICKEN. Never, never, never, never, EVER heat up olive oil and eat it.
If you can't get good quality butter or coconut oil, use lard.

Some very good information, but just reading this book is just one tiny piece of the puzzle.

I'm a more of a poultry and seafood kind of girl.

Rare to medium rare. Chicken has to retain juiciness, fish takes careful watching over an iron skillet in butter. Hey? What was this thread about?

Lower your carb intake and raise your proteins and your heart will thank you for it. You see we are the opposite and that diet is what brings on heart disease. Just think of how much grains we eat, how much wheat we eat. How much sugar (bleach white) and salt (bleach white) we eat.

I agree that sugar is probably the number one bad thing for your body.
Why? We run on sugar don't we?
It is because I heard a statistic that 80% of the food on store shelves in North America have added sugar.
Salt is fine (in moderation) but I believe our sedentary life style in this modern age coupled with processed foods, chemicals, & stress is more of a problem than we realize!
I have seen poutine, a brother ate it a week ago when we went out for coffee.
I could feel my heart arteries seeing the amount of fat in it!

It was about Who's Who.

My wife has an awesome recipe for Salmon that she cooks in the oven.
We live on the West Coast & in a couple of months the Salmon will be running & looking to spawn!

Oooh yum! Love that Pacific salmon! Friends of ours over in Bellingham, WA fish up in Alaska through the summer, and gave us a lovely amount of frozen fresh salmon and it was so amazing! We need to get back over there to see them this summer, and see if we can get some more of it!
