well, i'm not sure that anyone could even do that. What i do suggest is that the possibility is much more likely one of either fiction, television, or a sign that God has allowed one's hedge to be penetrated due to sin. Does abuse happen? Yes, but that is not the point. Are you so likely to encounter such abuse that you should focus on methods of defense against it, take Kung-Fu classes, and buy a gun? Where the heck do you live, one must then ask.
It is nothing less than playing on peoples' fears, and intimating that God's protection is all very well and good in a church, say, or during a wedding or funeral--but cannot be counted upon in any steadfast way; and i reject it as lack of faith. If you feel the need to pack heat at what you imagine to be "church," and run imaginary scenarios wherein you are the hero or savior of the day, i feel for you. Like, pity.
I have friends who have spent thousands of dollars on karate, etc., an attractive Lebanese friend comes to mind, and while she has many good qualities, trust in God is not one of them. And she's still a bundle of nerves anyway; panic attacks, constant drama over benign wild animals, etc.
i mean, lemme get this straight--you claim God as your Father, and say you trust God, but you buy a gun and insurance, just in case? i guess everyone has their own level of faith, but i would call that a hypocrite.

like someone is going to spontaneously invade your home or something, while you are there, and, ignoring you and your evil eye, start sucking on your daughter's neck or something. This is what happens when you watch too much Charles Bronson. I've seen it in women who i've stopped to change a tire for or whatever. People are freaks, and can't help but reflect their true faith whether they mean to or not.

Well, my tax guy is a wonderful, oneness brother that lives in a nice area, rural etc. Some group kicked his door in at 3am and he got his trusty shotgun and when the intruders heard it(chik chik), they took off fast(and were miraculously caught).
It was a combo of God and guns that saved the day!

My gun sits in a safe, I take walks at night unarmed. I trust God with my life. But I PROTECT my loved ones at all costs.
God likes that approach.
