I bet a lot more people would suddenly be fine with "Apostolic" or "Pentecostal". lol.
Are all Apostolics ... Christians?
Are all Christians .... Apostolics?

I am a Christian! because I am a follower of Christ!

I believe in the Pentecostal experience and I believe in the apostolic teachings found in the word of God!

I'm "of Christ", which is what Christian means. However, it was others who labelled those at Antioch as being Christian [of Christ]. IMO, rather than be concerned about what we call ourselves, we should be concerned about what others call us.

The perspective others have of believers and the local church can be quite different from the perspective we have of ourselves. What would be really interesting is to send a team into the neighborhood around our church and home and ask them what they call us!

BTW, I prefer to be called Pentecostal, rather than Apostolic, but want to be known as a Christian in the true sense of the word.

What matters more than what we call ourselves, is that we can not be accused of false advertising. If the package does not contain the product it proclaims, or contains an inferior one, then there is a problem.

If we say, Christian, then somehow we are saying we are not Apostolic or Pentecostal.

If we say Apostolic then we are somehow saying we are not Christian or Pentecostal.

If we say Pentecostal then we are somehow saying that we are not Apostolic or Christian.

In reality the ONLY TRUE CHRISTIANS are Pentecostal (Acts 2 believing) Apostolic (following the doctrine taught by the Apostles who were instructed by Jesus) Christian (One who follows Christ).

Sorry Daniel, you cannot separate them and make them something other than what they are.

I will stick to my East Texas Redneck answer........you will not take my answer and twist it to make it what you want it to say.........

and for the record.... please note that UPCI, ALJC, PAW or no other group was in my answer........

I voted Christian, cause if one is truly following Christ as a disciple ,they will be borned of water and spirit ,and live like they should.
