I often wonder if some of the small churches in OR suddenly won a number of folks that stuck and eventually out grew the old guard, would they be kept at bay as far as ever being involved for not coming to the holiness standards even if after outgrowing the existing 20 or 30.
My guess is that won't happen, because most that had any desire to be involved would get discouraged as they have in the past and move on.
Anybody else have an opinion?

I would agree with you here! I've seen this happen first hand. Of course they'd be kept at bay for not following dress standards...

Yes, I do. As a native Oregonian, and lifelong part of the church in Oregon, I say you are a negative nelly and lack insight. Whereabouts in Oregon are you from, anyway?

Then let me rephrase my comment. Such an individual lacks spiritual insight.

I disagree with this comment.
We all have our own opinions and just because someone's opinion is different than yours does not make them wrong nor does it mean they lack spiritual insight.

I agree with you - The issue is not TV- I don't know what it is necessarily, but I think it is my bigger and deeper that TV. By the way, I think Oregon is probably the most beautiful state I have ever visited!!!!!!

It is, but I'm learning to cope with it...it has not always been easy as you and Dad well know. I know that you feel to stay and that's good for you...you should not leave unless you feel God wants you too. However, for our family, and because of the call my husband feels he has on his life, we could not stay.
