From a Christian perspective, two things:
1. Pinch yourself. You're still alive. You still have a lot to be thankful for--including this great country, and the Democratic process at work, of which I would not want to rob anyone. Philippians 4:11 "Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content."
2. I Peter 2:17 "Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king."

Amen. All the Chicken Little stuff is over the top. I looked outside, the sky is not falling.

Re: AFF Election Night Thread...
I really don't like the way this election went, but I will honor the office of president and pray for him. I think we are required by the Word to do that, no matter who is in office.
I do think he made a good speech; he's a good communicator. I only hope that God gets a hold of his heart.

Re: AFF Election Night Thread...
On MSNBC they're talking about 'a new progressive era"
On FOX they're talking about the brilliant campaign Mccain ran and how the economy is what beat him.
Fair and balanced! ha!

McCain didn't run the best campaign, but the Economy did do him in. He was leading until the bad news.

Could it be that having voted alongside the President 90% over the years and being the champion of Reaganomics maybe did him in when the fruit of these policies was harvested in a the financial meltdown of the last few months? If so, perhaps it wasn't the economy that did him in and it was his policies that did him in. Maybe reality did him in.

Re: AFF Election Night Thread...
I wonder if Israel will go after Iran, while Bush is still in office?
