What has all this knowledge done for us as believers. We've become more dependant on men than God, IMO.
Look at our marriages. We have more head knowledge and books about marriage and oneness marriage gurus than any time previous, and yet divorce rates in the church now match that of the world.
I am frustrated much over healing and especially the lack thereof. I've posted before that I don't believe it's God's will for His children to be bound to sins diseases or have the same oppressive diseases as the world.
It frustrates me that a man of God who recently died, publicly proclaimed his belief that God would heal him and prayed that God would heal him and yet they had his home going service a couple weeks ago.
Yet a few years ago, another man of God had cancer and was healed and is still alive today.
I still believe God heals. I still believe it is His will to heal, mind, body and soul. I just don't understand why some are not healed.

The difference is quite clear. The surgeon treats something that can be proven to be physical. The psychologist treats something that cannot be proven to be physical, and by your own admittance is spiritual in nature.
Remember the man that was born blind? Jesus' crowd wanted to know if his blindness was due to the spiritual condition caused by his parent's sins or his own. If that physical condition was due to a spiritual condition, Jesus could have cleared that up right then and there. Instead, He said that physical blindness would be used to manifest the "works of God." This manifestation affected some who witnessed this physical healing, but it especially affected the man whose physical blindness was healed. ( John 9)
But then there were those who were spiritually blind. There was no physical healing to correct their condition. This blindness was due to their state of mind. Saul (aka Paul) suffered such blindness even before he suffered physical blindness. Ananias' prayers did not heal Saul's spiritual blindness. That healing came through Saul's prayer and repentance. Ananias later came to Paul so Paul could receive the Holy Ghost as well as his physical sight. ( Acts 9)
So, to seek a Doctor for a physical need is not the same as seeking a Doctor for a spiritual need. This is why Psalms 1:1 warns against seeking spiritual counsel from an unspiritual source.

Re: Psychiatry An Industry Of Death Full Length
Evangelist Benincasa,
You have gone through what you have gone through and the Lord has, in His Grace, shielded you from mental illness.
Some boys are sexually abused and seemingly have no issues in adulthood. For some boys, that is not how the Lord has chosen to get the Glory out of their lives.
There are others who have gone through what you have gone through and they are, no doubt, getting mental health treatment.
I went to Iraq and Afghanistan and was exposed to heavy metals in the air, possibly depleted uranium, burn pits for sure and the Lord has, in His Grace, shielded me from cancer.
There are others who were right there with me, in my unit and outside of my unit, who went through the same things I went through, and they are cancer-stricken TODAY.
It is very common occurrence that the same things that kill some humans actually makes other humans stronger. Don't minimize the suffering of the sick, the dying, and the dead because the Grace of God has allowed you to live and today you are stronger!
God is Sovereign and who understands His Ways?
Instead, realize the truth that not all humans respond to all things in the same way and that the same God who healed you in fact heals others-- but who can understand His Ways?
Realize that, whether by medicine, or by surgery, or by MIRACLE-- it is the Lord that heals us. In an instant, over time, through His Spoken Word, through the knowledge and skill that He has, in His Grace, given to mankind-- it is the Lord that will get the Glory in the HEALING of His People.

You might be on to something here but what EXACTLY would be the remedy for this phenomenon and would you be willing to live by it for yourself, for your family?
For me, I would choose to take advantage of ALL the manners of healing that God, in His Grace, has made available to us today. I don't think our logic would be different in this.

The only way I can explain it with my finite mind is that sometimes God chooses to heal our physical bodies through physical death-- only to raise us up again in the newness of life, in His Time.

Why does this frustrate you. I don't agree with your logic that "Gods children" (by which I am assuming you are referring to saved individuals) will have diseases. What are you meaning by sin's disease and oppressive disease? Having the Holy Ghost only assures our eternal soul salvation it does not mean we will not suffer and die physically. Why God heals different people? Ask HIM when you arrive in Heaven. I have seen sinners instantly healed and saints suffer for years. There is no answer.

I've agonized over the very same issue and I think there are many reasons why people aren't healed. For example:
- Unconfessed sin.
- Lack of faith in the part of the sick.
- Lack of faith on the part of the healer.
- The law of reaping and sowing (unhealthy lifestyle).
- Failure to understand how to use the power of God.
- Selfish desire.
- Misplaced faith.
- Demonic affliction.
- God's plan doesn't include healing. I'm sure the above list is by no means complete.

How about this He is God and it is His will to do His will as He wills.

From Post #241:
We are body, soul, and spirit. Disease, injury, aging, biology, hormones, and genetics, and conventional medicine effects the body, or soma. The body is how we interface with the physical world though the five senses: taste, touch, smell, sight, and hearing. It is the physical part of your being.
Soul, or psuche, is the psyche. It is the mind. It is the seat of reason, will, memory, and personality. It is your conscious, and subconscious, self. It is, the mind. It interfaces with your body through the brain. Thus if something affects the brain, it can scramble, effect, distort, or hinder the proper function of reason, will, memory, and personality, the soul. Life experiences in body are experienced through the body and are filtered into the soul. Therefore, some experiences can effect the soul, effecting reason, will, emotion, memory, and personality. This is where psychological problems reside. The subconscious is a barrier, and filter for that which is experienced, so that it can be processed and properly interpreted. In this way, it also offers protection to the core of your being...and so this is the interface between your soul (mind) and spirit. Psychiatry and mental health sciences effect the psyche, or soul. This is the deepest science can go. It's still largely uncharted territory, and human tinkering can do much good or much harm here.
Deeper still, and beyond the scope of all human science, is the spirit. The spirit, or pneuma, is the very, breath of life, the living essence, that is the core of your being. It is the seat of spirituality, intuition, emotions, and God consciousness or awareness. Some call it your, higher self. Paul calls it, your inner man. Metaphysics and spiritual practices are processed through the body (through senses) and soul (mind) to effect spirit. It speaks no human language and largely processes and communicates through symbolism and deeper core emotions. It is your living essence, and contains the overall intent and disposition of your being. Occult practices, demonism, spirituality, religion, can effect the spirit though the energies, symbolism, and ritual they contain. This part of us is where we interface with God and the spiritual realm. It is beyond the reach of doctors, medicine, psychologists, and psychiatry. It is spirit, and so it is only able to be affected by that which is spiritual.
When one is confronted with an issue, it is important to properly determine where the source of the problem resides. We must properly determine if the problem is one of body, soul (mind), or spirit. The Holy Spirit can heal and affect all aspects of our being as He desires. But a proper understanding of our ontology can help us direct how we focus our prayers, counsel, treatments, therapies, or medications.
