Of course not. I thought I already made that point. I think not too.
When it comes to "unspoken requests for prayer" ...... what's the point of saying .... "I have an unspoken request that I want you to pray about." Nobody has a clue what to pray for. So to me it's kind of pointless.
I don't share my prayer needs with very many people unless I know that they really do CARE -- care enough about me -- love me enough to pray in a way that God might be moved by their prayer.
Nobody can pray about my need or the need of someone I really care about the way I can. Nobody can pray about that need as effectually or fervently than I can and I can have the assurance personally ..... that I've prayed through, that God has heard and that He will take care of it.

The point is - You are lifting that prayer up to God while honoring the person who requested the prayer without dragging their problems before the masses.
For me, I am saying, "God, you know and I know."

Well, why not just pray for the person yourself then? LOL.
Nobody else knows what to pray for. So their prayer is going to be largely if not totally ineffective.
Your prayer will count because you know and you care enough to pray.

Because we ask for "unspoken requests". I'm just being obedient.
Seriously though, sometimes it relieves that burden someone is carrying and I have no problem with that.

Unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do? I don't think so.

I need to be accountable to someone...and am accountable to someone....
We all need to be accountable especially for the Ministry concerning Pastors and Leaders....
Our actions when bad have farther reaching effects and do much more damage than just our locale....
I think that temptation is something we all face and deal with daily as Christians We fight the good fight and battle...
But when you hear of those well respected, well known, and seeming to be strong have fallen to depths that even go beyond the veil of normalcy it is heart breaking to be sure. When you know that friends are facing one of the worst trials in their life because of the sinfulness of one man it is heart breaking for sure.
Ministry....Pastor....We all need to be accountable to someone...even when we feel that we are strong...take heed lest we fall....
I will post some more...but these are my thoughts for now....

Randy, really now, why would you need accountability for child molestation? If anyone confessed that to me I'd turn them in lest i got in trouble for covering them up. The law is not playing with this stuff.
This is the sadest news I've heard in a long long time
