Your argument is one of silence. You also cannot show a single time when believers were accosted for anything besides the Gospel. We know virtually nothing of how they lived. Yet I can show you hundreds of verses in the OT that shows defense of self and nation against aggressors. There is no indication that God changed.

Here's one...

Rev 6:9-11

9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:

10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.
KJV

which would it be?

Eventually, both will die, of course. But one death will be immediate and the other one delayed, probably for a number of years. So the eternal result, eventually, of choice 1 would be one person in hell and one person in Heaven. The eternal result, eventually, of choice 2 would be both people in Heaven.

You assume he will be saved if I die for him.

We have already conceded that one who is attacked for the sake of the Gospel should not defend themselves.

Not silence, but EXSAMPLE.

1 Peter 2:21-25

21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:

23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:

24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
KJV

2 Peter 3:16

16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
KJV

Carry on.
I'm not ridiculing anyone. I am trying to get you to see that there's nothing wrong with a man protecting his life and the life of his family, even if that means having to take the life of another. You are acting as if shouting out some scriptures or yelling out the name of Jesus is a sure fire way of stopping a criminal. Well, it isn't. God doesn't force His will upon anyone, including a criminal. Do I believe He could? Sure, I do. Do I believe that there have been instances where He's done just that? Sure I do. Can I say without a doubt He does that all the time? NOPE.
