OP in all honesty I hope you make it too. People like you seem to believe you have a lock on heaven because of your dress code (works) while others do not and are going to hell. But if what Paul applies to you guys Gal 5:1 For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery. Gal 5:2Look: I, Paul, say to you that if you accept circumcision, Christ will be of no advantage to you. Gal 5:3 I testify again to every man who accepts circumcision that he is obligated to keep the whole law. Gal 5:4You are severed from Christ, you who would be justified by the law; you have fallen away from grace. Gal 5:5For through the Spirit, by faith, we ourselves eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness. Gal 5:6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love.
Then I too HOPE you make it as well.
I agree with you on this in PART but works do save. As faith is a response(work) to God and his provision or Word. The leading of the Spirit is our works and unless we follow him we are following the flesh. we are slaves to whom we obey. In this the righteousness of God is seen in us as we WALK AFTER the Spirit which is faith. To walk after him is works. Thus it is not our provision but his. In this we fulfill the requirements of the Law. As the Spirit is righteous so are we as we walk in liberty TO the Spirit.

Works are anything we can do apart from the Gospel. That is why fruit of the Spirit are not works, but results.
Works of the flesh ARE works and show the condition of our heart.
BAptism in Jesus name is not a work it's part of the gospel action and or response.
Faith is not a work either neither is repentance

There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
Every sinner must repent of their sins.
That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Thanks for those verses, Prax. I needed them today.

A Pentecostal lady with uncut hair, no makeup and a dress stands out like the proverbial deer in the headlights at a non denominational charismatic meeting.
The clean shaven Pentecostal man without the jewerly is too old timey for the new improved Pentecostals.
So the first step to being accepted by and fellowshipping with trinitarian charismatics is the dropping of the standard.
Then it's just another step to "well they don't really believe in three Gods, after all it's really just semantics".
And then the use of the name of Jesus in water baptism is not as important as it used to be.
Thanks, but NO THANKS, I'll just stay over here and WATCH the train wreck.
Trinitarian Pentecostal men believe it or not many do not have facial hair. BTW are you saying you believe no facial hair is bible?
OPs were fellowshipping them before the AOG kicked them out and they were still fellowshipping them long afterward.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of folks in Pentecost who are more loyal to tradition than they are to the truth. And they're willing to hold on to something they know is biblically unsupportable, because they're so proud of the fact that they still do it "like the old timers did ".
But I think we should keep in mind that in Mark 7 Jesus had some harsh words for those who were "teaching for doctrines the commandments of men."

Don't hold your breath for that train wreck, although I know how excited some of "God's" self-appointed hall monitors would be to get the chance to come and "rescue" people from the wreckage.... it would give them more "scary" sermons to preach fear and guilt to other unsuspecting victims...
FTR, I have NEVER told an individual that they "were going to Hell".
Ok, but isn't that where the "slippery slope" leads. Every time there is a reference to the "slippery slope" is made it is in reference to Libs and their "loose" ways

ABSOLUTELY!
Just a little reminder and warning from over here.
