I would not say those folks in those two videos are faking it. 1 Corinthians chapter 14 mentions "speaking" in a tongue/language; "praying" in a tongue/language; and "singing" in a tongue/language. Paul says that if he prays in a tongue his spirit prays. I would assume if he spoke in a tongue his spirit spoke and if he sang in a tongue his spirit sang. He also mentions that the spirit of the prophet is subject to the prophet or under his control. Singing, praying, and speaking in a tongue or prayer language can be pretty well done by an individual at will. I would not say that the man who discussed tongues and then spoke in tongues to show how it sounded in that video was "faking". I would guess he was sincerely praying or speaking from his spirit in his prayer language. Likewise with the young lady who sang "Happy Birthday" in tongues in the other video. I think (this is my opinion only and not the result of a revelation or insight which came through a gift of discerning of spirits) they were both exhibiting a genuine "gift of tongues" or "prayer language" according to the way I understand the Scriptures.

If tongues and prophecy are not exercised under human control, why would the Apostle Paul devote so much time on how to use or exercise those gifts?

Can you sing Happy Birthday in Tongues?

Faking it... that means that they are trying to fool us and pretending to do something. I don't think they are faking it but, at least in the past, Aog and other similar groups have been known to teach people their "prayer language" and speaking in tongues.

Faking it... I won't say they are attempting to fool us. As a matter of fact I don't think they are attempting to fool us. I think they are serious.

But... is it God?

That is the purpose of my question. I don't think the Spirit of God is going to be a nifty little parlor trick and help me sing Happy Birthday in another language. Especially on queue for a youtube video.

I won't judge the videos beyond that. But that is what I feel about the situation thus far.
