Re: More Jokes
Notofworks,
I think many of us are getting sick and tired of your continual "correcting" of our humor. You have an opinion we all know how you feel, can you give it a rest?
We go to church on Sunday's and Wednesday's to get preached at......this is a forum.

Re: More Jokes
Do you and your wife spend this much time praying for those hypocritical Apostolics?

Re: More Jokes
Sorry, once again, I find these humorous. You know Ted Haggard got ridiculed here. I know Ted Haggard. However, if his sin had not been so heinous, he wouldn't have been fodder for the comedians. Like it or not, if anything like that ever happened to me, I know that there would be jokes told. My fault, not theirs. If you can't do the time, don't commit the crime. Everyone can be forgiven and should be forgiven, but if you don't want talked about, don't be in leadership or become famous. It goes with the territory. If everyone is looking at you, you should be careful what you're doing. It's not their fault that they catch you doing something sinful. Some things can be dealt with easier than others. If Tiger has indeed, cheated on his wife, shame on him! I was so hoping for him to beat the odds of the famous break ups. I pray for him, but Leno and Letterman will shred him like they do everyone else. A little crass, but that's the way it is!

The rules say differently:
We do not allow any rebuking, hatefulness, name calling, or verbal attacks by any person or group of people, toward any person or group of people. Content that is unseemly, using bad language, or any form of insinuating bad language (i.e. one letter and ****), or offensive slang, is not permitted.
This administration knows that God's Word allows for rebuking and correction under certain conditions, but because of the lack of understanding by some, as well as the differing views by a multitude of readers here, and for the sake of peace, we will not permit it under any circumstances.
You've called the forum hypocrites and continue to rebuke. Go hit a couple golf balls maybe you'll feel better. I've never reported a post, but I might now.

Re: More Jokes
BTW, NOW, I told the Nancy Pelosi joke tonight while at one of our minster's homes. He was not there, but his wife, daughter and son-in-law were there along with a Youth minister......I thought they were going to choke they thought it was so funny. None of the women cried "foul" and they laughed as well. I wasn't as interested in telling the joke as I was their reaction to it. Normally, they're "straight up" if they don't like something. I thought it was very interesting.

You are equivocating the jokes of secular comedians to those of Christ-followers?? Has Christ made us any different at all or are we just like them? If Ted Haggard was joked about here, that's horrible.
Here's the connecting chain....
1) The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us. While among us, he encountered the broken and had great compassion on them, including the sexually immoral. While others scorned and attacked, he loved.
2) Christ died for the ungodly. It was messy, gory, and horrifically painful. But it was for the redemption of mankind.
3) He was resurrected and before he ascended into heaven, he commissioned and sent those who would follow him, to emulate and represent Him.
4) Hundreds of years later, we, as the church representing him and literally, his body, are encountering those who have fallen into the depths of sin.
5) We have the answer. It's the efficacious, regenerating, power of the gospel of Jesus Christ, of which we are stewards.
6) And in our greatest opportunity to share the all-covering, redemptive Grace of God, we:
Laugh AT and tell jokes about those who have fallen???
God help us.

Whatever you feel you should do, that's fine. I'm disagreeing with the jokes that are posted. When they're as disgusting and tasteless as these, I'll continue to do that.
