A yr or 2 ago Ig purchased a copy of Every Young Man's Battle. After I read it I thought to myself, "wish I had read this when i was 14." A 15 yr old kid expressed interest in reading it. I talked it over with his brother who is my age. The older brother didn't think it was a good idea. If the 15 yr old was my lil bro, I would not have hestitated...

Baron, you fully approved the author's perspective in the book?
I seriously struggled through some of his perspectives. It's been awhile. Mostly, I enjoyed the book and recommended it to others because finally a book took the subject head-on.

Thank you, really. I wish I had someone that I could have sat and discussed this stuff with, at that age. The church yelled "SIN ! SIN! SIN!" The sex talk that I got was when I was in middle school. My family is not in the church. This is how the talk went.

I bought that book for my son with the workbook and after reviewing it, decided not to give it to him. I guess my thinking was along the lines of we had had enough taboo and that he was better off without it. I especially didn't like the negatives on masturbation and didn't want to sit down and clarify. My son has had a few man to man talks with my husband though.
