And I'm anti-vax. If someone would like information as to why, I would highly recommend Sherri Tenpenny's book Saying No To Vaccines. She was an ER doctor that believed what the medical establishment was telling her, and when people came in to the ER with physical issues that happened a day or two after a vaccine, she would tell them it was just a coincidence. Until she went to a medical conference that discussed covering up vaccine related adverse reactions, and starting doing her own research.

Your right in the polio is making a comeback only in very remote corners of the globe, but there is always a danger because hardly no one is vaccinated against it.

And because it WAS largely eradicated, along with small pox, how can you be against it, vaccinating in general?

We would be better off if we taught children and some adults, how to wash their hands correctly. It should be a main part of our hygiene.

If you have worked in the medical field that is one of the most important things you learn. How to wash your hands.

Some antibiotics have been overused of course, but I agree with you. I have a hard time with them myself, I have had adverse reactions to some of them. But because my immune system is compromised, I get prescribed at the first hint of an infection.

Antibiotics are ridiculously over prescribed! This is also a good reason why people MUST use all their pills when they receive them, and by that I mean taking the daily amount until they are gone. My wife always argues with people who get a 10 day supply and stop taking them after day 3 because they start feeling better. The problem is that a majority of the nasties are killed during the first few days but not all and if you stop you just created a cluster of bugs that are far more likely to be resistant. Continue until the vile of capsules/pills is empty people!!!

It streeses me a lot when it comes time for my kids to get vaccinations. Especially the live vaccines.

It is not black and white for me either. It is even fuzzier when asked about requiring medical care for a child. I still get very angry with I think of the Neuman case where they allowed their daughter to die when a single shot of insulin would have saved her. But the Scalia in me, if I were a judge, would probably find them innocent in a court of law, but then take them to the back of the court house and punch both in the faces (off the record of course) for being so ignorant and callous to their daughter.

Yeah, I think most people just don't want to take the chance with the health of their children. But for those un-vaccinated, are they exposing others to illness and disease?

I wouldn't think so. If someone is "un-vaccinated" then they are still susceptible to the disease. That is the whole purpose of vaccination... also call immunization. They are immune per the shot so anyone else getting the disease shouldn't have any affect on the immunized.

From what I understand, that isn't true. Apparently, if someone catches the disease fill blown, the immunized are more susceptible.
