Also the food is generally much better since you have individual chefs putting far more attention into every plate versus a row of white hat workers putting together thousands of the same dish. We stayed in both Jamaica and Dominican Republic. Both were VERY nice resorts although we'll be going back to the DR far sooner than Jamaica on account of the drug violence which seems to have broken out during the past couple of years there.

Oh yes, and ALL drinks (alcoholic and otherwise) are included in the package price and for some reason there was not a problem with obnoxious drunks at all.
I have heard others also say that those all inclusive resorts are great. At least for someone who likes to eat like I do! I had some friends who did Jamaica but said they made the mistake of leaving the resort to go somewhere one day and the poverty was so terrible they felt guilty the rest of their trip. Kind of hard to enjoy a steak dinner when you are thinking about the family of 12 living in a cardboard shack a few miles down the road I guess.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Ya, the island is pretty poverty stricken (although beautiful from a scenery perspective). There is the general attitude over there that they would like to see everyone equally miserable rather then the average lifestyle increase lest someone actually benefit more then them. In this way, it is the dream nation for people here such as Light and Seascapes.

Re: Princess Cruise

Here I am talking to the head caretaker at the resort. The guy actually talked to me for nearly an hour about how he cared for most of the plants and what may possibly live in Arizona.

The beach from our balcony. All the fun water toys seen were free for guest use! You had to reserve stuff but it was very available.

The resort itself.

Re: Princess Cruise

Ok, some pics from Jamaica and others from Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic as well as the cruise.

I will take the island all-inclusives any day.

Re: Princess Cruise

Our all-Inclusive Dreams resort in Cancun was great last year.

No "alcohol" drink orders for me, but they had these cool coffee drinks that they lit on fire...

I have lost some weight since that pic was taken and am not nearly as repulsive now.

OK, maybe a little but not as much!
