If I ever feel that nudge, I'm sure I will. For now, I feel encouraged alone. As a matter of fact, I remember once standing next to one of the little houses that Laura Ingalls Wilder lived in. I felt God speak to me. I felt Him say "Look at the family of Laura Ingalls Wilder. They were totally isolated, yet look what came out of their isolation" (they lived alone and isolated and yet through her writing, many, many people understand pioneer life). We were in Home Missions at the time and it gave me a lot of peace about how alone we were. I didn't realize at the time that this would define my life until this day, but it has. And I am at peace.

You've said repeatedly you've never been anywhere else. I am not even sure you have attended more than one church much less one denomination.

Also, you said you'd rather serve God alone than follow the crowd. I don't think you've ever been alone either.

That's how the thinking goes.

As long as you believed that how could you become a part of any other denomination?

Since the truth is Christ, and not contained in particular denomination, I agree it takes the urgency out of knowing one is in the best denomination.

The primary thing is one's relationship with Jesus. Finding a place that fosters that relationship is important but secondary to knowing Jesus Christ. Christ is alive and well in the hearts of believers everywhere.

I recently heard a pastor say, "You not only need a pastor to get you saved,
but you need a pastor to keep you saved"!
Some may hear the Word of God from a pastor, believe and obey it, but the
time should come when we look to the SPIRIT of ALMIGHTY GOD to KEEP US!!

Nothing quite like a healthy grown child still having to be fed baby food! Perhaps
TOO many have been "kept" babies when they should have learned to
feed themselves. Can you read and can you pray! The Spirit within gives the
POWER to become sons and daughers of the LORD ALMIGHTY!!!

I was fortunate to be trained up by my parents. They lived godly lives so that
when I "grew up" and started a family, my father also had become our pastor.
He taught and mentored us spiritually for over 30 yrs.

When he was taken, while I missed him so much, I knew how to go on
because of the Holy Ghost within me. We go to church today as we have 3
generations of our family following us. Our children have the Holy Ghost and by
the time we are called HOME, they will be able to go on and lead their children
and teach them to be led by the Spirit of God as we were led and our
parents before us.

Some may not have had parents, but may have a loving godly spiritual father
or mother as young Timothy had. He had a mother and grandmother to train
him up and then a "spiritual" father (Paul) to mentor/teacher him of spiritual
matters.
