Re: I've Started Writing

Once upon a time, and other times too, things happened that hurt me so deeply.
Wounded and hurting, I wrote them down in minute' detail. Put them away and
a few years later, while going through a desk drawer, I ran across those accounts I
had written down. At the time they seemed, and were. so painful. But now, after some
years and time had gone by, I read them again and thought, "I would never want any-
one to know that about my "friends". I shredded them to pieces. With God's help and
through much prayer, I realized a HEALING had taken place. It didn't even seem "real"
anymore. Seemed so unimportant now. How I thanked God that I had put it on
paper and gave it to HIM! He put it under the Blood! It's under the Blood, we'll
get over the storm. Priscilla McGruder sang "Under The Blood" so beautifully.

This is not to discourage ILG at all. Doesn't have anything to do with HER
book.

Glad you're not trying to discourage me, because if you were, it isn't going to work. I want people to know what happened to me in hopes they can work through and break past these types of things like I have been able to. All the names are going to be changed to protect the innocent, namely, ME!!

LOL! As I said it has nothing to do with your book. I hope to buy one!

We have been out of the UPC for 6 years now. My how time flies. I could not even sit down and start before this without getting way too emotional. Now, it's just flying out. I have written 11 chapters in a brief period. I am writing about Home Missions now. I am not sure how I will do when I start writing about the established pastorate.

Anyway, just saying I'm finally writing it, if anyone is interested.
Fantastic news. The world needs more Christian writers.

Re: I've Started Writing

Just an update, I'm on Chapter 17 of the first draft. This is the hardest part so it's taking a lot of work and working through of emotions. Overall, it has been a good experience so far. I'm still not sure the publishing route I am going to take. I don't know if I should try and get it professionally published or just give out ecopies for donations. I have pretty much decided to use a pen name.

And why, ILG, would you use a pen name? Do you have plans to name people in your book? Just wondering....

Re: I've Started Writing

Sure want a copy...no matter how it is published...Hello to you my friend. You are always in my prayers.
It is our dark experiences that often draw the good in us to light...yes, it does take a while. I was once deeply hurt but today can look back at it and smile...it helped me in the end to understand others and their dark nights.

Might I suggest using the name Ian Fleming?
