You bring up a very valid point. There is a slight difference between the situations though. When we see the recordings of the Holy Spirit moving on a gathering of believers, the purpose of those gathered is not to speak in tongues so that they can parade themselves on the world wide web.


Prophetess Bynum is in error in that she did what she did with the specific intent of publicly displaying something so private and intimate in a very shameful way.


If she did this with the thought that God was going to back her up by bringing someone forward with an interpretation, then it appears that she misread the will of God for this specific situation.

Then those folks are in error too, probably more than 1 error if they're teaching people how to speak in tongues.

maybe Jessie Duplantis can interpret it, he's so in tune with the Holy Ghost that he can turn speaking in tongues on and off like a radio.

Let it be understood that Apostolic Friends Forum is an Apostolic Forum.
Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.
