As to whether Christmas is about Ppresents or not, no offense...but spare me. He is 5. You show me a child at 5 who has some "revelation" that it's not about presents and such and I'll show you a parent who is lying of naieve. For my boy it is mostly about the magic of Santa and Christmas presents. His mother and I know better, but for us it is still amazing to see that childlike wonder in his eyes. I will get more out of seeing my boy's reaction Christmas morning than I would out of sitting at church hearing another sermon about Christs birth that I already have heard about every year my entire life.

But there are scripture that says to come together and worship, right? Is there any that say cancel any normal services for commercial reasons then? Since you already said its not about Jesus birthday, it's Santa Day.
And what about last year, since I wasn't here. Did everyone complain about Christmas Eve? New Years Eve?
People on one thread are telling me it's all in, or nothing.... Appearance etc... Fit the mold. But over here y'all argue going to the house of the Lord. How does that make any sense at all? If I wear a skirt I'll go to heaven but I can ditch church? Take a step back folks and listen to yourselves.
If the church doors are open, be there. If the Rapture comes and I'm sitting in church, I'll have a better chance of going I do believe.
Happy Thanksgiving
Spend this time with your family...
