Not quite, Roman Catholicism teaches that the grace of God is mediated through the seven sacraments of the Church, of which water baptism is one. So technically this is somewhat similar to the Oneness Pentecostal position, as the official position of the RC is
not the Water Baptism saves us, as if it could do that alone, but instead that it’s a channel for God’s grace. So in RC theology God saves us by grace through faith, but this grace is mediated to us usually by the Roman Catholic priesthood and always by the 7 sacraments of the Church of which water baptism is just one. Oneness Pentecostalism is similar to this, water baptism alone without faith and repentance can't save us, but Oneness like Roman Catholicism does regard water baptism as something which we need to do to be saved. Let me ask you Praxeas, can a person flat out disobey
Acts 2:38 and yet still be saved in Oneness soteriology?
