Further, those 'artists' closely associate themselves with the world, and all of the sins of the world. Further, they look, act, and talk like the world. If they look, sound, act, and sing like the world, then they are of the world and they are not a Christian, and I do not care what label they choose to wear.
Jay, you and I share a love for the same kind of music, southern/country gospel. I think you're seeing it only one way with regard to Christian Rock. So, if you are going to make the same statement about Christian Rock, then go ahead and say the same for Southern/Country gospel... "Further, they look, act, and talk like the world. If they look, sound, act, and sing like the world, then they are of the world and they are not a Christian, and I do not care what label they choose to wear."

There is no difference. You're only picking apart that which you listen to least.

But, there is one burning question: have you ever talked to a Christian Rock artist/musician? If so, was their "talk" the same as a mainstream rock artist, in that maybe foul language or anti-Christian dialogue came from their mouth?

Until one actually mingles with someone who lives, speaks, and sings about their faith and love for God, one cannot definitely say what that person is or isn't based on their own definition of "living for God" or "living in Truth."

After a little more research, Judas Kiss did have backward masked messages in it. Witch Hunt did as well on Petra's Beat the System CD in response to a series of shows on 'rock music' done by Jimmy Swagert.
Beat the System is a great album. Witchhunt is a good song. But, I was referring to Judas Kiss.

But, the title of the thread is "Great Classic Christian Rock Station." So, there is no vice involved.

Re: Great Classic Christian Rock Station

One of my favorite groups (by "group", I mean a husband and wife). I bought most of their albums on Amazon via download already. I guess out of 8-9 albums there are a COUPLE of songs that have lyrics but it is mostly instrumental.

Now you're talking. Daniel Amos is my favorite, hands down. I saw Terry Taylor live in Dallas last year. If you get a chance to catch one of his solo tours with his son, don't miss it.

Also, like 77s, Steve Taylor and Lost Dogs.

Great, great album. This is a newer track -- inspiration for my avatar.
