Re: Satan in the Church!
The asinine thought that a style of music has eternal consequences has been going on for centuries. Handel's Messiah borrowed from the parlor music. David used the tune of Philistine songs. Silent Night was the first christian song which featured a guitar. Amazing Grace caught on after the lyrics were put a well known bar tune. You should have heard the controversy when the priest taught the parishoners how to sing in unison. I Saw the Light (which in my opinion rates up there with Amazing Grace as one of the best religious songs of all time) was written by a drunk who sometime later died as a result of an overdose to painkillers in the back seat of a car.
Sounds like God can use the contemporary music of a culture to reach the masses.
