Re: Oneness Questions

Almighty God (who is the Father) is "one" (in union of spiritual being) with the man Jesus Christ (who is the Son). As a result of this union, it can be said that the man Jesus Christ is "also the Father".

Of course this works the other way too! As a result of this union, it can be said that God the Father is also man Jesus Christ.

In Christ, the Son of God, we see a union of being between God and the man Jesus. Between the Father and the Son. They are "one".

NO, God chose Jesus...It was part of the "plan"

I WILL TELL YOU, BUT ITS GRAPHIC...GOD "CREATED" A SPERM CELL IN THE WOMB OF MARY TO FERTILIZE AN EGG CELL. THAT IS WHERE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON HAD HIS BEGINNINGS. THAT IS WHY HE CALLED HIS GOD(MY FATHER)....THAT IS WHAT BEGOTTEN MEANS. IT IS A HUMAN TERM OF 2 HUMAN BEINGS CREATING ANOTHER ONE. THAT IS WHY JESUS IS CALLED THE (ONLY) "BEGOTTEN" SON OF GOD. (just read the beginnings of the gospels...so and so begat so and so). They were makin' human babies. Jesus was a human baby. JESUS HAD A DAD.

You should reread what I said:

2. As to the Godhead and how Jesus relates to it. He is both in it and it is in Him. He alone took on a bodily form therefore it is true that in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily but at the same He also is as Paul says equal with God (the Father) no one goes around speaking of how they are equal with them self to do so would be pointless.

Please note that I am not saying that Jesus is alone!

I see that clearly...

Interesting questions Luke. Here are my thoughts...

Adam could never become God in the same sense that Jesus is God. Sure, Adam could have eaten of the Tree of Life and partaken in God's divine nature (as we do through the Holy Ghost). However, the man Jesus Christ was made in the express image of God's own person. Therefore, Jesus is who God desires to reveal Himself to be, manifest in the flesh. So while Adam may have been able to partake in the divine nature (as we do in Spirit)... the man Jesus Christ not only partakes (without measure) through His union with the Father (Oneness)... Jesus reflects the Father Himself. As a result, to see Jesus is to see the Father.

Re: Oneness Questions

Gentlemen, I submit to you that trying to line each other out over a subject that is past human undertanding... that is the length and breath and depth and height of God, is an exercize in futility.

I submit to you that it is at the end of the day, unfathomable. And beyond that our example in scripture when others tried to get too close to God, He knocked them down a notch or two...

Can we not agree that the most important thing that seperated the Childrend of Israel from all others was the one thing they actually wrote on a slip of paper, then tied to their foreheads? That being Hear O Isreal, the Lord our God is ONE LORD...

beyond that seriously what we are doing and what we are saying is mindbogglingly silly.

God is ONE. This is the ONE THING he has demanded of his people from DAY ONE.

I am the Lord YOUR GOD and besides me THERE IS NONE OTHER.

Selah

is there any other reason to be here? LOL

serously i like a good argument. but where the very nature of the Holy God is concerned.... well, I am willing to show some scriputer that has deep meaning to me, but I am not willing to ball up over it.

Jesus was God Manifest in the flesh. Thats bible. Thats enough for me.

I dont need to explain in utter detail how God did something that is far beyond the ability of man to grasp.
