you might be right.

I need to review...

I will do so...

Let me say this. I see a nightmare coming for people of faith. The progressive activists are in overdrive finding every single manner in which they can challenge Christianity. They want Christians to not be able to be both Christian and be part of the economy.

Right now its an attack on people of faith who do not want to participate in gay marriage (the people who make wedding cakes and wedding flowers and take wedding pictures...)

Democrats have already tried to hold votes in congress that attacks the first amendment on free speech, by defining 'hate speech' as illegal.

the goal is to banning of naming sin and calling it SIN. its not just homosexuality. Its every human act that the bible defines as sin. They wont just stop there, they will do everything in their power to drive Christians to GIVE APPROVAL of sinfulness.

That day is coming. If I am speaking in a way that is wrong. I apologize. BUT I am frustrated that we are focused on nonsense that is going to make Christians look like a pack of fools, and therefore make it easier for the progressive activists to attack people of faith.

I see this situation as that. and utterly nonsensical stand on then air based on what? some notion that one form of ungodliness is better than another form of ungodliness? and in the end, honest people of faith will lose.

This will get to the Supreme Court and it will be dealt with harshly and it will in the end become Case Law that will build the bases of Precedent for Public Accommodation. THAT MEANS CHRISTIANS WILL BE TOLD BY SCOTUS TO MAKE WEDDING CAKES FOR GAY WEDDINGS.

For Plural Marrage. For all manner is sick and twisted idiocy that humans can dream up ...and if humans are good at anything its dreaming up wildly stupid sin.

So I will try to reign it in some... but seriously looking at Kim Davis as some kind of prophetess... considering her some hero standing on righteous conviction, just rings hollow.... and can be argued to be dangerous for us.

I agree with this. But I must say that I have never felt convicted to issue marriage licenses to hetero couples. Do I believe a marriage license breaks or makes a marriage? No. Do I believe that some people I have issued marriage licenses to should be getting married? No.

However, whether or not they should be getting married or whether or not a state issued marriage license makes a marriage valid or not, it is still that, a marriage. I will not issue a marriage license to someone of the same gender simply because I do not believe that it is possible to do so. I do not believe that two people of the same gender can be married and to issue a marriage license to a same gender couple would be to “redefine marriage”.

I am thankful that there has been no pressure on me to do so, but if there ever was, I would refuse.

Secondly, I don't feel that we will reverse the tide of persecution coming against the Church. My only hope is to be a light that will turn people to Jesus in the wake of persecution. If someone stands for truth, I see it as a testimony of truth to those that are persecuting it.

So do you work in a government office that issues license or are you a minister that marries people?

trying to understand where you are coming from.

as a minister I would never marry two people of the same sex. that is an affront to God. id go to jail first.

Yeah, the SSM militants and left-wing blogs are loving this info. This was done BEFORE she was baptized and filled with the HG. Obviously, these people won't understand the difference. I'm hoping you and anyone who is Apostolic will recognize that things done before the blood was applied are now washed away.

I saw more than one *FB post by an Apostolic jumping on the bandwagon because of the news, criticizing her. Kim Davis has been in church four years. No need to play the devil and condemn her for what was done prior to salvation.

Re: Kim Davis

Kim Davis' statement from yesterday:

"I have worked in the Rowan County Clerk's office for 27 years as a Deputy Clerk and was honored to be elected as the Clerk in November 2014, and took office in January 2015. I love my job and the people of Rowan County. I have never lived any place other than Rowan County. Some people have said I should resign, but I have done my job well. This year we are on track to generate a surplus for the county of $1.5 million.

In addition to my desire to serve the people of Rowan County, I owe my life to Jesus Christ who loves me and gave His life for me. Following the death of my godly mother-in-law over four years ago, I went to church to fulfill her dying wish. There I heard a message of grace and forgiveness and surrendered my life to Jesus Christ. I am not perfect. No one is. But I am forgiven and I love my Lord and must be obedient to Him and to the Word of God.

I never imagined a day like this would come, where I would be asked to violate a central teaching of Scripture and of Jesus Himself regarding marriage. To issue a marriage license which conflicts with God's definition of marriage, with my name affixed to the certificate, would violate my conscience. It is not a light issue for me. It is a Heaven or Hell decision. For me it is a decision of obedience. I have no animosity toward anyone and harbor no ill will. To me this has never been a gay or lesbian issue. It is about marriage and God's Word. It is a matter of religious liberty, which is protected under the First Amendment, the Kentucky Constitution, and in the Kentucky Religious Freedom Restoration Act. Our history is filled with accommodations for people's religious freedom and conscience. I want to continue to perform my duties, but I also am requesting what our Founders envisioned - that conscience and religious freedom would be protected. That is all I am asking. I never sought to be in this position, and I would much rather not have been placed in this position. I have received death threats from people who do not know me. I harbor nothing against them. I was elected by the people to serve as the County Clerk. I intend to continue to serve the people of Rowan County, but I cannot violate my conscience."

Re: Kim Davis

So in light of the post here by n David, I have to eat my words about quadruple married.

that appears to be under the blood. I apologize.

I still stand by my statement that this is the wrong fight. and it will harm people of faith.

Re: Kim Davis

From what I understand she has 80 thousand reasons to not quit ? But besides that under what law is she supposed to issue gay marriage licenses Clinton signed doma into law and Kentucky passed something similar with 75 percent approved courts can't make laws only congress can ,rulings are not laws .this might be winnable after all
