Re: Christians and Politics

Questions for Esaias and EB and any others who put their confidence in the law of Moses.

When did you last sacrifice an animal to atone for your sins?

Lev.5

[6] And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD for his sin which he hath sinned, a female from the flock, a lamb or a kid of the goats, for a sin offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for him concerning his sin.

If we are still under the law (which Gentiles and born again Christians NEVER were) then you should be offering sacrifices. I’m not under the curse of the law.

Gal.3

[13] Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

Yall go ahead. I’m a Christian, born again. Eating catfish and shrimp. Resting in Jesus every day. I’m not under the curse of the law.

So, you pop in, drive by with some out of context verses, refuse to elaborate, refuse to actually discuss, and then "ask questions"?

Sorry, but that's not how it works.

The rest of your comment, which I did not bother to quote, proves beyond any shadow of a doubt, that you don't even know what I or brother Benincasa believes. You have just shown yourself to be intellectually dishonest. Nobody has advocated "putting our confidence in the law of Moses". What has been done is you have been asked questions, and you can't answer them. What has been done is your silly soundbites have been refuted, and you can't handle that. What has been done, is others have attempted to actually discuss the issue, and you can't participate.

Unfortunately, we do not have any parting gifts for you, nor is there anything behind door number 2 for you to have as a consolation prize. So sorry.

Re: Christians and Politics

For the law was . . . As in used to be.

Gal.3

[24] Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

But now as in two thousand years ago and continuing to the present, and into the future . . .

[25] But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster

Hmmm . . . The law was our schoolmaster. But that was before Christ. HELLO? It brought us unto Christ. But now we have Christ. We are no longer under a schoolmaster!

Think about it! The curse of the law is self imposed. I choose to be free.

You've missed the boat in this discussion and are yelling at it's departing silhouette.

Ironic that you and EB pretend that you are on the same page. One of you think eating bacon is a sin. The other thinks bacon is good for you.

Unless something has changed?

Good grief

You are in my prayers. I'm serious, I definitely didn't think my line of asking questions were going to end like this.

I guess sometimes religion is like guys who snort pre workout. They think its cool until someone gets hurt.
