Ahhh...so this would apply also when someone simply answers 'Amen" or "Good post", or just a smiley like this

Because honestly, they are not REALLY adding anything, per se.

In fact, maybe we need to start a Quality Post Commision, so that all the any poster who consistently adds nothing of import can be escorted to the door.

Someone that knows how to reach me, please let me know when we return to normal. (Well, forget normal. Let's say to regular posting.)

I doubt bumping threads was the reason . . . after all I count 3 bumped by DA and 4 bumped by DB. DB isn't banned.

It's more likely one or more persons were upset with the subject of the threads . . . one has been locked-down. here

Well if people can get banned simply because some don't like what they have to say, well, none of us are safe!

wow, just imagine if that is more at the core of the recent actions then the whole "I've been banned for *bumping* with big fat dictators"

I wonder if our 'rush to *bump* to judgement' folks will feel a strange kindred spirit with the a former prosecutor in Durham, NC.?

Thank you for the wise words.

A person who continues to make a nuisance of himself or herself, and refuses to behave in a manner consistent with good manners and good sense needs to get the message somehow.

Some folks have a hard time receiving any kind of instruction, and resent any kind of check on their behavior.

Perhaps the banned individual falls somewhere into this category.

It was a singular occurence of an opinion being posted on a thread involving 'banning'.

PP, I'd be honored to be a part of covering your back any time I am able. Could you help me understand your assessment here.
Everyone knows which poster we are talking about, so to say the following in regard to that poster is way harsh to me.

I know Daniel, and if Amos is who I think he is, I know him fairly well. Both of them are good people. I just hate to see snap judgements regarding situations we know very little about.

It's true that several threads were bumped by 2 different people. One gets banned and the other doesn't. So the reason had to have gone beyond the "bumping".

Looking at it from the back row seat here it seems like there's some inequality but then I guess the judgment call is made from those more qualified than spectators sitting in the back row.

PP, I am asking for you to consider the manner of engagement that D.A. regularly engages those he deems antagonists from his point of view, and then consider the manner in which Amos framed his opinion about what could be at work with D.A., and then determine if the atmosphere that accompained Amos' post was 'way harsh'.

But bro, I am not going persue this any further with you. I value your voice in this little neck of the woods.

Bro, no one on this forum has butted heads with DA more than me. I promise.

I just feel it unfair to speak negatively about someone who is not here to defend himself.

Personally, I think this thread should be closed.

BTW, thanks for your kindness. You're a pal.
