Absolutely agree LC .... a God-breathed inerrant commmandment.

But how you present it makes all the difference ... as Felicity so eloquently said about

You don't GOT to get the Holy Ghost. You GET to get the Holy Ghost.

(just an expression) buy the truth and sell it not. Meaning, we can't pick and choose the part of salvation that we want.

This is what I always get a little amused about is the fact that many of the people who you say don't believe this is necessary for salvation are getting the exact same results you are and others who believe like you do. Maybe even more and greater results and more numbers of people who are repenting, being baptized in Jesus name and receiving the Holy Ghost infilling evidenced by speaking in tongues.

Like Anthony Mangun always said and still says today....... the emphasis is........

You don't GOT to get the Holy Ghost. You GET to get the Holy Ghost.

And that's pretty much what Peter was saying ..... ye SHALL receive. It's a PROMISE and a FACT.
You made a distinction here...to different types of believers. Am I reading it wrong?

Absolutely she did, and this is what always happens. THEY say "I believe Acts 2:38" and then THEY issue one of the following disclaimers:

1. but
2. however
3. in a different way

The truth is THEY believe a different message. I'm glad we see the same results in a few so called PCI churches and ministries, but THEY preach a different message. There is much evidence in the past few days to convince me of that fact.

We believe a different message but get the same results? Impossible.

Yes, I think you must be because we're all (here) Oneness Acts 2:38 adherents.

Quite possible. A Baptist, Presbyterian or Mormon could accidentally land on the same result, with a complete misunderstanding of scripture.

It's a different message, with a different emphasis.

All of God's word is essential ... <<<< how this statement can be construed as dempasizing Acts 2:38 is mind boggling .... I want all God has for me ...
