It's the exact same principle.
He does not have to. He can simply preach against tv itself, as the AOF still state that the org wholeheartedly disapproves of their people having tv's.

Here is the Affirmation Statement.

I also believe and embrace the holiness standards of the United Pentecostal Church International as set forth in said Articles of Faith, and I pledge to practice, preach and teach the same.

Here is Daniel's post in the Resolutions Thread-

Seems you CANNOT have a TV and ADVERTISE also.

Unless the #4 of this year was vastly different.

Maybe your thoughts are correct here. I will have to think on it some. Ethically, this would be why many will be letting their license lapse, or turning in their cards. The passing of this resolution has succeeeded in dividing the fellowship. That may be a good thing in the long run.

I have looked elsewhere, but have not found it. Daniel posted Revolution #6 elsewhere, and Boom quoted it above. Since there were no amendments, it should be the same.

See post #54, or use the search function to search for "Resolution" within the thread where they reported play by play from the GC floor.

If you click on the arrow after the username in a quote, it takes you back to the quoted post. In this case, in another thread where Daniel posted the above.

I don't know about "embraces." It simply no longer forbids. There are a lot of things not expessly forbidden in the AoF and/or Manual that preachers have preached against for years. Seamless stockings on women... the list is endless.

So the anti-TV crowd can still preach agin' it, but they can't drive someone with a TV ministry or TV ads out of the fellowship. That's the only real downer for them. They love to drive people out of the fellowship. They now have one less toy to play with.

Well, obviously man-made organization and man-made rules are more important than Scripture. If not, why do we have the Manual, the AS, the standards, etc?
