With an audience nosey people want to probe total strangers about their background. I take it since you have an audience, (Cyber audience) it makwes people bolder.

try the same tomorrow. Approach someone at chruch without introducing yourself and start drilling them about their education and professional history. It sound like bad manners but I guess i have not been told that holiness and good manners are both history.

Coadie, that is totally unreasonable. If I were having a conversation with someone I had just met, and they said they had 5 degrees and working on a 6th, I would say, "Really? What are your degrees in?"

Nothing at all impolite about that question. It would be odd if they were offended by it.

thta's the thing that makes we wonder. Most devout mennonites don't go to college. So if he was one for 50 years then changed, that means he went to "medical school"(if that) at 50. takes 12-14 years to complete all that depending on what practice they choose. That means he would be about 62 when he got done, and then count the other degrees he claims.
