You are a good friend...

One of my sisters in law is going to bring me some banana pudding after while, and in a few days when she thinks I can handle it, some chicken and dumplings.

I can hardly wait!!

Praying for Renda...

We're going to actually get out after while and do a few errands and grab something for lunch. I'm going to drive her car, since mine sits pretty low and it's harder to get in and out of (even for me!!). It will be good for her just to get out of the house and see something other than these four walls.

CC1 now turns off the computer and runs from the room just in case one of the "elder Sisters" is still up and reading this thread. LOL!!!!

Re: I'm Staying at Renda's!

Having Sherri give up this time to come stay with me has been such a humbling blessing to me!

I treasure my friendship with Sherri!

One of the things that I dreaded the most about going through this surgery was the "being alone" and I have not been alone one bit. God has shown me how blessed I am and I have NO FEAR of being alone.

I had nine flower arrangements in the hospital and was the envy of everyone. The nurses would comment on how I must really be loved.

Then I've received a lot of cards and I get so excited to have MAIL! Then, calls of friends checking on me - - -it really has let me know that God cares for me and I'm so fortunate to have so many in my life to care and love me.

Why was I worried about being alone? In our own selves sometimes we can't see the forest for the trees - so this has been a wonderful experience for me to be reassured that I am so fortunate!

Having Sherri here has been awesome!

Well, I would have come stayed with you and nursed you back to health but I couldn't get off work and my wife wouldn't let me.

It was GREAT to get out!!!!!!

We drove around Collierville and I showed Sherri the old town square and other places of interest and some huge homes in the area. Then, we braved it and had lunch OUT.......parked in handicap and walked in with my walker to eat at Huey's a great hamburger place.

It was so good to get out and feel a little bit normal.

Now, I'm going to ice my knee and sit and relax!
