I don't understand why whom he chooses to be his friend would bother you? Did Christ befriend some questionable characters? I know my friends have...

I think DT and I are probably on the same page regarding the Manguns and the Clintons.
As much as I despise Bill Clinton, his politics, his morals, etc I absolutely think any Christian who had occasion to make his acquaintance should have handled it as the Manguns did. Be a friend and try to be a Christian influence without sacrificng your values.
I only hope that their personal friendship did not cause them to promote his canidacy among their church members. Being friends with a lib and adulterer is one thing but urging people to vote for them for the highest office of the land is quite another! I have never heard of them campaigning for Clinton and I hope they did not.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

How many pastors of much smaller works, for that matter? What I see are innumerable congregations (UPCI, ALJC, PAW, etc...) that operate more like a family business. A dynasty, if you will. Not this guy. I find that highly respectable. He's not out to build a family business. He's about winning souls, building the Kingdom of God, and doing the right thing. Kudos!
God Bless!

What about AM's dad, that was an experiment that worked out right?

I heard somewhere it may have even been AM himself, about during one of the casual meetings the Manguns had with Billy and Hitlery and Bill asked AM if he could ask one thing what would it be, AM said emphatically, "We need you to put GOD back in the schools!" BIlly then asked AM's little son, and with the same fire, said, "We need you to put God back in the CHURCHES!..."
